July 3rd, 2008 I suppose I should introduce my new website, SELF-INDUCED INSANITY. It's in the same vein as Bexx's Bitter, Sweet & Twisted, but I'm marginally more sarcastic and cynical than her. I've got reviews, graphics and a few other things that may be random - all on this other website. Visit SELF-INDUCED INSANITY now!
(Please don't ask to be on here, and don't be offended if you're not here!)
This is my blog, with my opinions. Don't try to belittle me, but you can certainly share your opinions. Outright insults are just damn immature though.
Offline people: If my blog contains a story you think refers to you, it never will be about you. Get it?
If you know me offline, respect my privacy and leave.

DIR EN GREY Since When July 13th, 2008 First Song 'Yokan' Comments I don't understand a word that is being said and I only like their lighter, catchier songs! I'm not a fan of heavy music, so I like their earlier stuff better!
I finally had my college interview on Thursday afternoon! It was an absolutely horrible day, weather-wise: complete torrential rain. We walked from the house, to the college, in the pouring rain. Atleast it was only for like ten to fifteen minutes - but we had no coats or umbrellas, just hip-length jackets. So yeah, Bexx and I were completely soaked. The receptionist gave me a strange look, and when we went to the toilets to dry ourselves off, I noticed that my make-up had ran down my face! Pretty embarassing. We went upstairs in a lift, then, as directed, to a room upstairs that was like an open plan office. "You're so Vain" by Carly Simon was on the radio, hence the blog title lol. I knew what song it was straight away - we'll forget that Faster Pussycat covered it in 1991 lol. The interview was a complete breeze. Just telling the deputy-principal what subjects I'm interested in, my race, contact information and that, no, I wouldn't like to be in the sports representative team (I'm too lazy for sports!). I told her I was grade 5 guitar, but truth be told, I have no idea what grade I'm at. My GCSE piece was Grade 5, and I could play that...so I must be at Grade 5. I was quite chatty and not the least bit shy! I'm proud of that. I'm going to take this new start in Rotherham and make the most of it.
I got back from Rotherham earlier today, so we spent 5 days there. All the time I was wishing I was back here in Runcorn. That's not good seeing as I'm going to be moving to Rotherham before the 8th. I'll have to learn how to deal with the homesickness. But if it's anything like being love sick, I'm stuck.
I'm not going to be renewing this domain name, instead I'm going to be buying one for my L.A. Guns fansite. This site will still be around, but just as a subdomain to my fanlisting (which will be my main site aswell as this one!).

I got a reply from the college! Like, finally. We were about to get back in contact with them aswell, which is weird: are they mind readers? So, I've got an interview with them on Thursday at 3PM, which means I'm going to Rotherham on Wednesday. It's only a fifteen minute interview asking about interests, courses and such. One problem. The letter says: "You should bring this letter, your latest School Report and your Record of Achievement/Progress File with you along with any photocopies of any GCSE qualifications already achieved." Stupid old me has binned most of the things on the list! Hopefully they'll understand, seeing as I've had to clear my house out for the move, and I didn't think about keeping anything like that. I think the Record of Achievement is all the reward certificates I've recieved in highschool. Thing is, I never kept my certificates. Well, I've got my 100% attendance one from Year 7 - that's from Sept '03 - June '04 by the way, so really out of date. I can't even go into school to get my grade card - it's the school holidays! If only I'd been able to sort this out ages ago.
I have to get up early tomorrow. My Nana is around again, to "sort out the room", which means even more things are going to be binned! I think we'll be moving all the furniture to take up the carpet. Well, carpets. For some reason we have a pink carpet underneath the blue one (toplayer). That should be fun. I hope you can sense the sarcasm in my last sentence.
I did spend all weekend chilling out. We watched The Shining, recorded from TV (even though we've got a copy on DVD), which has more scenes than the DVD copy. Jack Nicholson still creeps me out. Well, he scares me in Anger Management, which is a comedy yet alone a psychological-thriller like The Shining! I still don't like the movie better than the book. Like, with the movie, what's the point of Dick coming all the way back from Florida just to get killed? Oh, it's not a big part of the story, but some of you might not have seen it yet. Sorry.
It's still absolutely boiling here. It's almost 10PM as I'm typing this, the sun has set, and I'm still baking hot! I can't stand the heat. It leaves me so tired and frustrated I can't do much more than sit down all day. And I like it when I'm hyperactive!
This domain runs out in August, so I'm thinking about things. Like I don't think I'll be keeping the name Long Time Dead. It sounds pretty dark, and I'm not like that (anymore haha), even if it doesn't mean literally dead... So I'm thinking of new names. We shall see though.
So, I'm going to quit this for now. It's boiling, Big brother is going to be on soon (does anyone else want to slap Luke like I do? He won't shut up!).
I'm utterly exhausted. For the past few days (or a week or so, I can't remember), I've been clearing out my room in preparation for the move - which is next Friday, by the way. If you don't know already, I'm moving from this town near Liverpool to another one right next to Sheffield. Today I moved two Chester drawers by myself, cleaned and hoovered my room, put rubbish in the outside bins (our bin and one a block away!) and went to the shop for my Nana. And to top it all off, it's absolutely boiling. Bexx and I played guitar (bass for her) for a few hours, just a couple of L.A. Guns songs repeatedly, which was no better than running around in the heat! As soon as I started playing Bitch is Back, I was really hot and perspiring loads. And I was playing guitar sat down (the strap button is broken...), so not much movement other than my hands/wrists/arms! Even sitting down was too much for me. Try carrying furniture down stairs on your own (and I'm really skinny. And nonathletic if you haven't guessed). I'm glad I wasn't in school on a day like today. That would have been hell.
Yesterday I woke up at 9AM, which is 5 hours earlier than usual. Yeah, 2PM is a pretty bad time to wake up, but I don't have any responsibilities, so it's OK with me. Only because we sorted out my room. My Nana (which is scouse for Grandmother by the way lol) and my mother were there to help, which was a bit of a nuisance because my Nana wanted me to dump most of mine and Bexx's things. You try parting Bexx with her teddies! Like, I don't have lots of things anyway. Just a couple of boxes of clothes, a few books, a load of CDs (which have been in Rotherham for ages already), a guitar and not loads otherwise. So I'm hardly likely to throw my things away. Nana shoved a paper-maché vase I made in my first year of high school in the bin. With a "sorry kids but you've got to be strict!". I know it's not practical to want to take everything you own in a house move, but I'd miss my stuff!
This is the last week when I could have seen my friends. I could next week, but Tasha is away in Wales and I'll probably be really busy seeing as that's my last week in Runcorn! I haven't spoken to them since last Wednesday, when we went to the shopping city! I thought we could hang out one last time this week, but I guess that Wednesday was it. I'm going to miss them so much, I already do now and I've not even moved yet. I come back to Runcorn on the 21st of August, to get my GCSE results so I'll see them then. I hope I get good grades - I'm hoping to do Music, Art (or English), Psychics and French in college this year. Just got to wait for that letter back from the college which still hasn't arrived. I'm not sure what I'll do if I don't get into college (I'm a high grade student, but if they're not replying...). I'd love to start a band, but my 'rents would make me get a "real" job, I suppose.
I'm going to Rotherham this weekend, so that's fine by me: NO TIDYING UP! I think I'll chill infront of the TV, eating chocolate all weekend. That would do me just fine. As long as it isn't too warm.
Thank you for all the comments! I'll be returning them soon...
